 Great for the Guest Room/ Kitchen January 9, 2009
This Toshiba is sleek and pretty with a bonus built-in DVD player.
If you are a channel surfer this tv will drive you nuts. There is a
five second lag between channels when using the remote. Insane.
And you have to have the screen placed directly in your viewing level.
If you sit above, below or to the side you loose significant detail.
Black people disappear into shadows. The scenes look almost polarized.
On the plus side, the set-up was easy breezy. You plug the set in and
there's a three step on screen prompt. Took less than five minutes. The
sound is good quality, as is the picture (if viewed straight on).
I recommend this as a cheap, good looking second or third set, definitely
not for primary viewing.

This TV was a wonderful purchase - it has great clarity and color. We love it and I would recommend it to anyone. I also bought the wall mount that was suggested with the TV and wouldn't go back to putting my TV on the dresser ever again!
 Why two remotes? January 6, 2009
We need to use a Comcast remote with the Comcast cable box.. With our previous TV the Comcast remote controlled al functions. Now we need the Toshiba remote for on/off and volume control. Black shades are not what they should be. I bought without seeing thee set in action - should have looked first.

I purchased this tv & dvd combo to replace an older tv & vhs that had a small screen. We use the tv in the kitchen to watch with our morning coffee since both myself & wife are partially retired. The tv/dvd is an excellent product and in the month that we have owned it I can find nothing that I don't like about it. I would recommend it to anyone.

The TV arrived faster than expected and the box and TV were in great shape. The picture is very sharp but the sound is just a little low. It fits in a space that I never thought that I could get a TV in. It is being used in the kitchen and it helps to past the time when baking
